New Healthy Habits

I was on the phone to my mum earlier, and I was telling her about all the changes I’ve made in my life recently. I thought it might be interesting to share them on my blog for anyone who might be inspired by these changes and might feel like trying them if they think it would benefit them too.

Waking Up Naturally – I’ve been really tired recently, and I have tried everything from taking iron supplements to trying to get more rest. I find waking up to an alarm, snoozing, and then rushing out the door has just left me frazzled. To counteract this, I’ve decided to go to bed as soon as I feel tired and just let my body wake up naturally. I’ve only been doing this for a few days, but I already feel a lot more rested. Something so simple can make such a big difference to your day!

Limiting People’s Access to Me – I’ve been getting drained quite quickly recently by spending too much time with others and not enough time with just myself. I’ve found that a lot of other people’s problems have slowly been creeping into my life and manifesting as my own problems when, in reality, I’ve not even dealt with my own to begin with. I’m learning to prioritise “me time” and to keep space for my mental capacity. It’s okay to want a break from others, and I feel so much more at peace recently because of this.

Drinking a Lot Less – I have spoken about this in a previous post and touched on it on Instagram, but I have been trying to cut down on how much I drink for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but I finally feel I have found my feet. I know my limit, and I have found a few ways to stick to my goal of drinking less. This has meant I feel so much fresher the day after and more productive too.

The Working Week – I have decided, as of recently, that I will not make plans on Mondays to Thursdays for a few reasons. I feel that when I make plans during the week, it takes me out of my routine. If it involves a lot of socialising, I also feel exhausted on top of that! Sticking to the working week is helping me stay focused and on top of everything I need to do, and I’m here for it.

Making these few changes has done wonders for me, and I would love to hear if you decide to try some of these too, or if you have any healthy habits that have revolutionised your life as well. I would love to read them in the comments!

Love,
Nishi x
